Email Setup Guide

If you are trying to access your storm.ca email with an app other than our web-mail interface, this guide is for you. All other email apps (Thunderbird, Outlook, Gmail, etc.) will require these basic settings in order to integrate with your storm.ca email account. Sending and receiving email both require their own configuration.

1. Receiving Email (POP/IMAP)

You will likely be given the option of which protocol you want to use: POP or IMAP. In general, Storm recommends choosing IMAP.

• • Address: pop.storm.ca
  • Port: 110 (POP) / 143 (IMAP)
  • SSL: yes
  • Username: your full Storm Internet email address (eg. name@storm.ca)
  • Password: as listed on your account

2. Sending Email (SMTP)

  • Port: 465/587
  • SSL: yes
  • Username: your full storm email address (eg. name@storm.ca)
  • Password: As listed on your account
